STEVE JOBS: THE GENIUS!

“Steve Jobs, the man full of knowledge and an intelligent innovator!”

Steve Jobs was an American computer entrepreneur and the co-founder, chairman and chief executive of Apple Inc. He was a GENIUS like no other, which I do believe is the perfect word to describe Steve Jobs. I’d say, “Cheers!” to Steve Jobs, who welcomed each and everyone of us to a whole new world of technology.

Steve Jobs invented a lot of unique, user-friendly Apple gadgets – iBook, Mac Mini, iTunes, iPod, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPhones, iPads and more!

These Apple products as I’ve mentioned are so much useful to our society now a day and worth buying for because its features and apps are amazingly fun and simple to use. Such as the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad, these maybe used for playing games, browsing the net, taking photos and the likes, but it can also be used as an educational purposes. There are certain schools that would issue iPads to their students and that is where they will have to submit their homework, quizzes, visual presentations, etc. Same as working for a company. Some companies would issue an iPad to their staff and employees.

What is the deal of issuing iPads to students or employee? Why can’t they stick to books, notebooks and ballpens as what traditional school thus? Well, books, notebooks and ballpens can still be used by students but, of course, younger kids & teens are into the new generation now – they rely on technology. Students may find it handy so they can enjoy the things being taught to them in school. One thing good about this deal, people can no longer waste paper; furthermore, they can save mother nature.

Without Steve Jobs, what would our life be like today? Of course, he made life easier that he brought joy and happiness to people around the world. Imagine the hard works and the contributions he had come up. All of us love him with his creative thoughts and his positive plans for the future. Extraordinary, isn’t it?

My “Unforgettable” Rock ‘n’ Roll Party

The time has passed by so quickly, doesn’t it? During the summer, I counted the days in the calendar to see how far away my birthday was. And now, the big party is actually over. I’m eighteen and officially called “a lady”! my celebration was truly meaningful and fantastic that I love to replay the events of that day again and again in my mind.

I celebrated my birthday last September 11, 2010 at Teatrino, Promenade, Greenhills. The theme of my party was 60s/Rock ‘n’ Roll. The party place was a spacious, mini theatre with an opera house ambiance. It was decorated with bright-colored balloons. It has a stage, wide enough for live bands. There was a photo booth near the entrance of the place to produce souvenir pictures for the guests.

I arrived at the place at exact 6:30 p.m. in my own hippy-look. I wore blue-and-red headband, purple tights from top to bottom, a colorful dress over, and orange shows with green flower design. I stood near the entrance of the venue and excitedly welcomed the guest.

The first part of the party was a sumptuous dinner. The buffet table was filled with mouthwatering dishes. The food had a really delicious and appetizing smell that the guests hurriedly fell in line. While the guests ate, they were entertained by an audio-visual presentation of my memorable and funny childhood photo. In the background, love songs were played.

After the first set, I made a wish and blew the candle on my two-layer, abstract-looking, colorful cake which had a drummer at the top. Then the band played a special, surprised birthday song for me. Afterward, the drummer dedicated his marvelous, rhythmic; inspiring drum solo entitled, “Little B” to me. At the middle of his solo, he tapped along with the tables and chairs. He even made me tap along with him.

Then some of my close friends, my grandparents, my parents, my drum instructor and the drummer of the band came up on stage to say a short speech and to share their birthday wishes. The final part of my party was the 2nd set of the concert. In this set, people started dancing and dancing that they really had a remarkable time.

My debut party was truly an unforgettable experience for me. It was the first time that the people dear to my heart, my family, friends and relatives were gathered together in one place. The party gave me an opportunity to showcase my talents in playing the drums, and I actually did it with my close friends, The Bloomfields.

Most of all I had the chance, for the first time to tell my parents, “I love you!”

What It Takes to Have A Healthy Living!

"Carbs. Sweets. Fats. Cholesterol. - a big NO! NOT!"

For three years, I’ve been enrolled in the gym. My personal trainer, my nutritionist and my parents are trying to help me lose weight so I can have a healthy life, and of course to live longer. Still, I kept breaking that promise.

I tried, and tried, and tried. It’s so hard to lose weight. From all the cardio, the weight lifting and the sweats I do in the gym are killing me. The are times I’m willing to do it and there are times I couldn’t do it. This sometimes bother me because of not promising myself and my parents.

There’s got to be away to keep myself consistent from my everyday activities, especially the way I choose my appetite – food & drinks. This way, if I follow my own appetite, then I may live a healthy life. I just have to keep myself moving and never will I break my promises. :)

How you see yourself 5 to 10 years from now:

5 to 10 years from now, I would want to see myself performing with a band, and me, as the drummer. Playing the drums is really my passion because whenever I play on stage, it keeps me happy and alive.

Other than that, I would like to manage my favorite band in the Philippines, “The Bloomfields”. I like to manage them because me, myself, has been a major fan for how many years.

Lastly, my dream is to perform in Disneyland with other stage performers. :)
